~ Year 51 to 54 ~

Being able to travel more now, Kathi, My son Gary
and I began to explore the interesting facets of the Scottish heritage
from my Father's side of the family. This was something that I had not
become familiar with until fairly late in life, and I felt it was time
to discover just who these ancestors of ours were, and what their life,
customs and culture was like.
And so, when I had some time off, and Kathi wasn't
in school, we took off and attended Scottish Games and Gatherings all over
the Northwest - soaking up the culture, and learning a bit more about just
who and what the Celtic people were all about. And I didn't get much kidding
about the wearing of the kilt - not more than once anyway.. It helps to
speak softly and wear a big dirk!
